TUYAP FAIR AND CONGRESS CENTER HAS BEEN HOSTED, 19th PLAST EURASIA İSTANBUL EXHIBITION

Turkey and Eurasia Region's most important and biggest plastics industry trade fair, PLAST EURASIA İSTANBUL, brought together 888 exhibitor companies with 28.442 qualified visitors from 74 countries all over the world.

PLAST EURASIA İSTANBUL 2009, 19th International İstanbul Plastic Industries Fair has been organized by TÜYAP Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in cooperation with PAGEV (Turkish Plastics Manufacturers, Research Development and Education Foundation) between November 19 - 22, 2009 at Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center, Büyükçekmece - İstanbul - Turkey.
At the opening ceremony, Serdar YALÇIN, TÜYAP Fairs Inc. General Manager, recalled that 19 years ago the first Plast Eurasia fair started with only 500 square meters, but Plast Eurasia 2009 reached to 20,000 square meters net sales area which shows the strength and the development of the exhibition parallel to the country’s plastics industry growth. Mr. Yalçın emphasized the importance of keeping the same net sales area square meters of 2008 Plast Eurasia in 2009 and underlined that Turkish plastic manufacturers resisted to the crises with innovation and production capabilities.

PAGEV (Turkish Plastics Manufacturers, Research Development and Education Foundation) Chairman Selçuk Aksoy, expressed his appreciation to perform 19th International İstanbul Plastic Industries Fair in the 20th anniversary of the PAGEV Foundation. Mr. Aksoy indicated that this year plastics manufacturers have managed to keep profitability despite the global crisis and they would catch last year's exports figures. Mr. Aksoy also reminded that the industry’s annual exportation capacity is $8 billion and emphasized that the Turkish plastics industry, the leader of the Balkans, Middle East and Eastern Europe Regions, frighten its opponents with its dynamism.

During the opening ceremony, ' Plastic Industry Stars 2009 '  awards were given to the 43 plastics companies ranking in TIM 1000 and ISO 1000 lists regarding their turnover and export figures.
Petkim, Elif Plastik, Korozo, Fırat Plastik, Egeplast, PiMAŞ, Cağlar Plastik and Adopen were among the awarded companies.

Great Interest of Professional Visitors to the Plast Eurasia 2009

PLAST EURASIA İSTANBUL FAIR which aims to contribute to the development of the plastics industry, gathered a total of 888 leading companies and company representatives from 43 countries (Germany, USA, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, P. R. China, Denmark, Indonesia, Philippines, France, India, Netherlands, Hong Kong, England, Iran, Spain, Israel, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Egypt, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, Taiwan, Tatarstan Republic, Thailand, Turkey, Greece) and also hosted national participation of Iran,  P. R. China and Taiwan.

PLAST EURASIA ISTANBUL, the meeting point of plastics industry, was visited by 28.442 domestic and foreign professionals with a big interest.
As a result of the promotional activities oriented to Turkish plastics industry’s target markets (the Balkans, the Middle East, Eastern Europe) “the Fair” visited by 3.641 professional visitors and purchasing delegations from 74 countries such as Germany, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Georgia,  Greece, Iran, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Syria, Israel, Italy, Libya, Macedonia, Egypt, Serbia.

Being the most important and biggest plastics fair of Turkey and Eurasia Region, PLAST EURASIA İSTANBUL 2009 offered to the companies the opportunity to recognize, compare and select appropriate technology, machinery and materials for new investments. Latest technologies and innovations of plastic machinery, chemicals and raw materials, machinery auxiliary industry, heat and control equipments, molds, hydraulic and pneumatic equipments were exhibited in the 19th International İstanbul Plastic Industries Fair.

Next year, PLAST EURASIA İSTANBUL will celebrate its 20th anniversary between 2-5 December 2010 at Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center, Büyükçekmece - İstanbul - Turkey.
