The Company also acquired Dinox, the chemical sales and marketing company based in Germany in 2017 in order to get closer to its customers in the European market and to further expand its export activities. On the other hand, Akcoat acquired the company Megacolor producing ceramic printing inks in Spain, thus accomplishing a major integration investment. Akkim has finally acquired USK Kimya, one of the largest carboxymethyl cellulose producers in Turkey and the world in 2021.
AKESBO is a non-toxic, stabilizer and secondary plasticizer used in the processing of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). AKESBO acts as a scavenger for hydrochloric acid released when the PVC degrades thermally. AKESBO prevents the yellowing that may occur with time in PVC. AKESBO is used for the improvement of heat and light stability by synergetic effect together with mixed metal stabilizers. AKESBO can be used for flexible, semi-flexible and rigid PVC products such as food packaging materials, medical products, wire, cable, pipe, daily-used plastic products, artificial leather, all kinds of film and plastic sheets.
PLASLUB 100 is a glycerol-based fatty acid ester of vegetable source. PLASLUB 100 is used as internal lubricant in PVC applications. TOTM provides desirable properties in vinyl applications which require good plasticizer/resin compatibility, low volatility, resistance to extraction by soapy water and good electrical properties. Palatinol® TOTM is often a good substitute for polyester polymeric plasticizers where improvements in processing are desired. TOTM can be used alone and it has a good complementary effect for polymeric plasticizers and is a good substitute for plasticizers such as dioctyl sebacate.
